It is a combed and aligned fibre obtained from the stem of the stinging nettle (Urtica dioica). It is a traditional natural material that has been used in the past and is still used today for producing yarn, fabrics, and ropes. It is traditionally used in the textile industry. From the sliver, yarn is produced for weaving cloth, cords, and ropes, as well as finer textiles. The material is suitable for allergy sufferers, has a long lifespan, and natural resistance to microorganisms and mould.
