ľan kvet
It is small and five-petaled, most commonly light blue to blue-violet in color, more rarely white or pink. The flowers are arranged in loose cymes at the top of a branched stem and bloom in June to July. Each flower has five smooth petals, five sepals, and prominent yellow or orange stamens. It is not directly used as a raw material, but it is a key phenological indicator that determines the correct timing for harvesting plants to obtain high-quality fiber. Thanks to flowering and the subsequent maturation of the stems, it is possible to obtain strong, long, and fine flax fiber, which forms the basis for the production of both traditional and modern linen textiles.
