Goldenrod

A perennial herb with bright yellow flowers, native to North America and Europe. Its stem is upright and becomes woody in the lower part, while the leaves are lance-shaped with sharply serrated edges. The flower heads form dense clusters. Goldenrod is considered an important medicinal plant, traditionally used in folk medicine and beekeeping. It is also valued as a natural yellow and golden dye for wool, silk, cotton, and other natural fibres. The resulting colours are durable, pleasant in tone, and environmentally friendly.
