VLNA – Sheep’s Wool Under the Tatras is a project focused on the hand-processing of sheep’s wool and the creation of products from it, which originated during the founder’s studies at the Sokrat Institute. The project focuses not only on the production of woolen goods but also on educating the public about traditional textile techniques. The project includes educational workshops titled “The Story of Wool” and “Get to Know Wool,” designed for both children and adults. The goal is to introduce the process of processing sheep’s wool from shearing to the finished product and to foster interest in traditional craftsmanship. The project emphasizes sustainability, local materials, and practical skills that participants can try out for themselves. VLNA thus combines creative work with the preservation and promotion of Slovak sheep farming.
