College of Art Industry (School of Design) – the Department of Textiles specializes in teaching and research in the field of textile design, where students' artistic and creative talents are combined with craftsmanship. Students gain knowledge in both traditional and innovative textile techniques, such as weaving, embroidery, lace, textile painting, batik and screen printing. Teaching also includes experimental approaches, textile recycling and upcycling, creation of textile jewellery, objects and home accessories. The emphasis is on environmental sustainability, an author's approach, the development of creativity and the ability to realize one's own designs from a sketch to the final product. The school also supports research into new materials and technologies in textile production and cooperation on real projects, fashion shows and exhibitions
