The intention of the work is a methodical investigation of authenticity in design through the exploration of local craft techniques and materials - and the search for their preservation through application in design. Overlaps of craft techniques into original material samples create a sample book with the potential to create a material cabinet. The preservation of traditional techniques is explored through a workshop in an online environment. The result is a construction for a vase, which is completed by recycling the object that served as a form. The knowledge gained is applied to the design of the wire structure system in which a rechargeable LED light bulb is placed. Both the vase and the ôt refer back to tinware constructions, the lifespan of which can outlast the objects that created them.Z
