JOSEF FIDLER

Josef Fidler has been involved in hand-released textiles for more than 20 years, and since June 28, 2015, he has moved his production to a wooden cabin in the Hlinska conservation reserve. It maintains the tradition of production in a typical country and also offers interpretation and demonstration of production to visitors. Since moving to the cottage, he has been fully involved in the production of hand-woven Žinylka (Žanylky), which was produced in the HLINEK region from 1890 to the 1970s, when its production was discontinued. In production, traditional procedures, material and colors (black, green, blue, white, purple, old pink) and their combinations are maintained. Fidler can be found at fairs and markets in Hlinsko, Veselý Kopec or other markets in the Czech Republic.
