Spinnerei Forst GmbH is a European textile company based in Forst (Lausitz), Germany, specializing in the production of high-quality yarns from animal and synthetic fibers. The company was established as part of the revival of the traditional textile industry and since 2005 has been under the ownership of Tuchfabrik Gebrüder Mehler GmbH, which enabled the modernization of the machine park and the maintenance of top quality production. Spinnerei Forst produces a wide range of yarns – from sheep's wool, merino and lamb's wool to alpaca, cashmere and goat's wool to synthetic fibers such as polyamide, often in various blends. Our own dyeing and twisting facilities enable the production of yarns in various color designs and special treatments, while production batches are flexible from 150 to 2000 kg. In addition to its own production, the company provides services for other textile companies, including dyeing, twisting and spinning of yarns. Spinnerei Forst places great emphasis on the selection of the highest quality fibers, which is reflected in the final quality of the products. The company is certified according to GOTS, IVN Naturtextil and Öko‑Tex Standard 100, which confirms its commitment to environmental sustainability and social responsibility. The production includes ordinary as well as very fine or special fibers, which can be used in the fashion and technical textile segment, which ranks Spinnerei Forst among the important European spinning mills with a long tradition.
