Weberei Höfer GmbH (Höfer Stoffe) is a traditional German weaving factory based in Breitbrunn and Prien am Chiemsee, which mainly focuses on the production of high-quality fabrics by the meter, especially jacquard and trachten (dirndl / tracht) fabrics. The company is a family business whose roots go back to 1951, when it started with the production of Jacquard fabrics in a small home workshop near Lake Chiemsee. Thanks to flexible production, Höfer can implement orders from 10 meters on the basis of its own designs and colors. In the assortment, they use high-quality materials such as fine-gauge wool yarns, linen, wool-polyester or wool-lycra. Weberei Höfer has an extensive collection of trachten fabrics (dirndl, tracht) and also offers fashion fabrics for ladies and gentlemen, complemented by a wide selection of kurzwaren (buttons, threads, fabric accessories) and lining fabrics. The company places great emphasis on local production: the entire process — from yarn dyeing to fabric treatment — is carried out exclusively in Bavaria.
