SachsenLeinen GmbH is a German company based in Markkleeberg that specializes in natural fibers — especially flax and hemp — and their industrial use. One of their important projects is HEAF - HighEnd AgroFiber, aimed at the construction of a line for the processing of long hemp fibers ("textile long fibers") in the region near Leipzig. The goal is to produce high-quality hemp fibers with a low proportion of pith residues and dust, which will be suitable for technical textiles and composites. From a technological point of view, SachsenLeinen focuses on the development and production of various phase products: fibers in the form of square bales, fiber basts, strips, coiled yarn and yarn. All this is designed with a high technological standard in mind — homogeneity of fibers, low content of pith parts and dust are key. In the area of ​​sustainability, SachsenLeinen emphasizes regenerative agriculture (e.g. contracts with farmers), the use of renewable energy sources for the operation of facilities and the development of raw materials with minimal transport.
