vdnr – Verband Dämmstoffe aus nachwachsenden Rohstoffen e.V. is a German association that represents manufacturers and suppliers of insulation materials made from renewable raw materials. These materials include wood fibers, cellulose, jute, hemp fibers, cork, flax, sheep's wool, reeds, straw and more. The association supports sustainable construction, energy-efficient solutions and the ecological use of natural raw materials, while focusing on the dissemination of expert information, research and development of materials, as well as on the support of legislative changes and standardization that enable the wider use of natural insulation. vdnr organizes trainings, publishes technical sheets and guidelines, cooperates with research institutions and provides advice to architects, designers and craftsmen. The association acts as a central platform for the industry of renewable insulation materials and contributes to the development of sustainable, healthy and energy-efficient construction in Germany and Europe.
