Schindlerova pletárna

Schindlerova pletárna is a family knitting company based in Krásná Lípa. It is considered to be the oldest continuously operating knitting mill in ČR — its existence began as early as 1854, when it was founded by Mr. Stefan Schindler. The company specializes in the production of a wide range of knitted clothing and accessories: sweaters, pullovers, cardigans, vests, dresses, hats, scarves, stockings (ELITE and "Schindler 1854" brands), socks, leggings and other additional knitted clothing. Production takes place directly in a historical building from the 20s/30s. 20th century, designed by the famous architect Hans Richter — it is a unique industrial factory building that still serves its purpose. Schindlerova pletárna honors the traditional craft and preserves the knitting know-how that has been passed down from generation to generation for over 170 years. The company's products are known for their quality workmanship and often serve not only as everyday clothing, but also as clothing for professional use (e.g. uniforms, work or corporate clothing). In addition to the production of clothing, the company openly presents its history and craft heritage — it organizes guided tours, workshops and excursions, thereby contributing to the preservation of the tradition of the knitting craft.
