VÚTS Liberec

VÚTS, a.s. is a Czech research and development and engineering center based in Liberec (Svárovská 619, Liberec XI‑Růžodol). It was originally established in 1951 as the Textile Machinery Research Institute — that is, with efforts to develop and design machines for the textile industry. Today, VÚTS has expanded significantly — in addition to textile machines, it designs, develops and manufactures specialized, single-purpose and custom machines and equipment for various industries: textile, printing, packaging, food, healthcare, automotive and more. Their activities include the development of manipulators, transport systems, test equipment, prototype production, CNC machining, mechatronics, machine designs, measuring instruments, structures and automation. In the field of textile engineering, VÚTS is mainly known for the development of modern weaving machines. For example, he presented a prototype of a very economical and quiet weaving machine, which was designed for the production of technical fabrics — for example, from glass fibers for use in facade nets. Currently, the company is also working on the development of 3D fabrics and specialized technical textiles — showing that it continues to innovate and respond to the needs of modern industry. In addition to engineering production, VÚTS carries out research, development and engineering projects. It cooperates with academic institutions — for example, with the Technical University of Liberec — thus connecting the academic sphere with industrial production. The result is hundreds of projects, numerous patents and unique machine solutions — VÚTS has transformed over the years from the original "textile research institute" into a modern universal technical development center.
