Wool twining / Druganie – a method of twisting fibers into a thread with a weaker or stronger twist than spun yarn. Its purpose was to produce a thick, soft woolen thread used as weft in fabrics or as material for knitting. In Slovakia, this technique probably spread during the Wallachian colonization from the 15th to the 17th century.
