textile finishing

Textile finishing is the final stage of textile manufacturing, comprising mechanical, chemical or combined treatments applied to fabrics, yarns or garments in order to improve their appearance, performance and functionality. Finishing processes may include softening, wrinkle resistance, water repellency, flame retardancy, antimicrobial protection, dimensional stabilization and surface modification. These treatments enhance the aesthetic and technical properties of textiles and prepare them for their intended end use.
