HUSARSKA sp. z o.o. – ReHemptation by Husarska
Husarska sp. z o.o. is a Polish creative design studio based in Krakow / Zabierzów, which profiles today not only as a "traditional" textile or clothing workshop, but above all as an innovative studio focused on sustainable materials and product design. Her current most prominent project is the ReHemptation collection — a series of products and material solutions that use hemp (and in some cases flax) to produce composite materials and furniture with a low environmental impact. As part of ReHemptation, Husarska (together with partners) has developed a material called Strumber — a plant-based composite made from hemp (and/or flax) fibers that can serve as an alternative to wood. This material combines ecological advantages — the fast growth and renewable nature of hemp, the ability to sequester carbon, a lower carbon footprint — with functional and aesthetic properties adapted to the production of furniture. Based on it, a whole line of furniture and design objects was created: chairs, tables, benches, stools — such as the HempStool, HempSolo, HempBean and LinStool models. These pieces represent minimalist design and are designed with durability and sustainability in mind. The goal of ReHemptation is not only to offer aesthetically and functionally quality products, but above all to demonstrate the potential of hemp and flax as full-value, renewable and environmentally responsible raw materials — that is, an alternative to wood or artificial materials. The collection also functions as a concept: it represents a new approach to production materials, supports the circular economy and reducing the carbon footprint.
