The Czech Flax and Hemp Association, z.s. was founded in 1990 as the Czech Flax Growers’ Association and, in accordance with new legislation, was entered into the registry of associations maintained by the Regional Court in Ostrava on January 1, 2014, under the amended name Czech Flax Growers’ Association, z.s. (registered association). Over time, the association’s activities expanded to include issues related to oilseed flax and hemp. This was reflected in a further name change, which was approved along with new bylaws at the General Meeting in 2016. As of April 1, 2017, the official, registered name is: Czech Flax and Hemp Association, z.s.
