Vladimira Matašeova

Vladimíra Maťašeová is a graduate of the Institute of Design at the Faculty of Architecture and Design of the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava (2014 – 2020). She completed several internships in the automotive industry (Škoda Auto, Rimac). She came to textiles for the first time while designing a project for the future of automobiles. While studying at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon (Faculdade de Belas-Artes da Universidade de Lisboa), she attended weaving courses, which stimulated her deeper interest in the origin of materials. She currently lives in Turin and works as a freelance UX/UI designer. In addition to work, he works on the Story of Linen project and has been growing flax on a small scale for the fourth year in Slovakia. in her diploma thesis, she devoted herself to the creation of innovative functional materials based on hand weaving. For example, she combined copper and linen.
