Združenie agropodnikateľov družstvo
The history of the Association of Agricultural Entrepreneurs, a cooperative in Dvory nad Žitavou, dates back to 1949, when the first type of Jednotné roľnícke družstva (JRD) was founded as part of the collectivization process (complete collectivization of the village was completed in 1959). In 1972, JRD Dvory nad Žitavou merged with JRD Branovo, and until 1989 they farmed together on an area of 5,656 hectares.
After 1990, the team underwent significant changes. In 1992, a legal transformation took place, during which the cooperative was transformed into an ownership cooperative. In 1996, in accordance with the law, ownership shares were changed to securities - cooperative share certificates. In 1998, the former Agricultural Co-operative was renamed to Združenie agropodnikateľov, družstvo, while retaining the legal form of a co-operative. As part of the created capital, the cooperative issued three issues of cooperative unit certificates until 2002.
In connection with the preparation for Slovakia's entry into the EU, the cooperative was reorganized in 2004 according to product specialization. The fruit-growing, vegetable-processing and viticulture-wine divisions of ZAD (as parts of the agricultural primary production sectors) became independent and became independent business entities - cooperatives operating as closed capital companies with specified assets owned by authorized members working in these cooperatives. The association of agro-entrepreneurs, the cooperative remained an open company of authorized persons with majority ownership by its members.
