Craft focused on sewing men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing and linen. It became an independent craft in the 13th and 14th centuries. The first tailors’ guilds in Slovakia were established in the 15th century, including Banská Štiavnica in 1446, Košice in 1457, and Bardejov in 1459.
