Pig bristles

Pig bristles – Pig hair is not a common material in the textile industry and was used mainly as an emergency or supplementary material. In Slovakia, the use of pig bristles is documented in Horný Vadičov, where until the Second World War men produced footwear called bristle slippers by braiding the material on a form. Pig bristles were also added to wool, which was then spun into yarn.
