Eider

It originates from the German sheep breed Weißköpfiges Fleischschaf, which is mainly raised in northern Germany under harsh coastal conditions. The wool has a pronounced and regular crimp, which is unusual for such coarse fibres and gives it volume and elasticity. It is well suited for hand spinning, felting, carpet making, blankets, coarse textiles, and various craft uses where strength and durability are required.
