Shetland brown
It originates from a sheep breed raised on the Shetland Islands in northern Scotland, where the sheep have adapted to harsh, windy, and cold conditions. It is among the smallest British sheep breeds. The wool is lightweight, provides excellent insulation, and is also breathable. It is mainly used for knitting traditional sweaters, scarves, hats, and gloves using Fair Isle techniques or lace patterns, for weaving both fine and durable fabrics, for making blankets, carpets, and upholstery, as well as for felting.
