Kristína Pavlčanová-Šipulová

She is a Slovak textile designer and artist known for her emphasis on hand weaving, her work with historical linen and cotton fibers, and her sustainable, slow approach to fashion and design. Born in 1991, she is from Telgárt and is a graduate of the Textile Design Studio at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, having also completed part of her studies at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts in Norway. During her studies, she gained experience through internships in Denmark (Beck&Kinch for Chanel), France (Studio Edelkoort), and Paris (IFA Paris), where she also worked as a lecturer in textiles and color theory.
