Since its establishment in 1999, the regional craft center (RCR) ÚĽUV Bratislava has aimed to preserve and develop traditional crafts and folk art production as part of our cultural heritage. It is located in a historic building in the center of Bratislava on Obchodna Street and offers mainly year-round short-term and long-term leisure craft courses for adults, children and youth. It offers courses in pottery, carving, weaving from natural meshes, wirework, lacemaking, weaving on looms, and others. However, there are also other traditional productions that reflect the results of the professional activities of other sections of ÚĽUV. In the field of further education, adults have the opportunity to take accredited courses at RCR ÚĽUV Bratislava. During the school year, creative workshops and excursions are prepared for schools with the opportunity to try out selected crafts and make a small product. Adults have the opportunity to experience this form of getting to know crafts as part of short-term creative activities. In the months of July and August, the area of ​​the ÚĽUV School of Crafts is set aside for the popular event Holidays with crafts for children aged 8 to 15 years in the form of a day camp. In the last week of August, adults also have the opportunity to experience the Summer School of Crafts.
