MANUZONA

The MANUZONA brand has been officially operating since 2016 as a handmade production zone. It is dedicated mainly to sheep's wool and more and more ONLY to sheep's wool and lately almost exclusively to LOCAL sheep's wool ? I started playing with fibers a long time ago, I returned to the hook and needles with the children, but the right turning point came when I learned to spin on a spinning wheel and became interested in our, Slovak and Czech sheep's wool and the situation of its processing (which is disheartening). In recent years, I have passed through my hands many kilos of wool of different types and degrees of pollution :-D, I am constantly learning the craft and expanding my arsenal of techniques, knowledge and skills. From In 2017, I cooperated with ÚĽUV as a registered producer and lecturer of Wool Spinning courses. At the initiative of ÚĽUV, I also created the publication Hand-made wool processing, which was published in their edition of the School of Traditional Manufacturing and Crafts. In 2018, our civic association Naša vlna was established, which we founded together with other kindred wool souls, and whose task is to conduct regular courses, network wool supporters and various awareness-raising activities to help improve the situation of sheep wool in Slovakia.
