Ústredie ľudovej umeleckej výroby Košice

The regional craft center (RCR) ÚĽUV Košice was established in 2013 and is a contact workplace with consulting and educational activities for the area of ​​eastern Slovakia with its own circle of art advisors and craft lecturers from the region. It is located in the city center in a modernized historic house on Mäsiarská street and has a shop, gallery, library and craft workshops. The main activity of the center consists in the operation of the ÚĽUV School of Crafts. Children, youth and adults interested in traditional handicrafts can learn old technological procedures and acquire practical craft skills in short-term and long-term craft courses organized throughout the year. For children and youth, RCR ÚĽUV Košice also offers holiday events Spring holidays with a craft and Holidays with a craft in the months of July and August. For adults, on the other hand, accredited courses in the field of further education and in the last week of August also the Summer School of Crafts. The most frequented courses are pottery, tinkering, weaving, textile, carving and glass underpainting, but many other, less frequented traditional crafts are also offered during the year.
